The spread of printed flannel shirts, said to have appeared around 1970, was due to advances in printing technology. By the 1980s, these shirts, known as flannel shirts (neru shirts), became popular among young people as a new type of flannel shirt that went beyond the traditional checks.
Until then, flannel shirts were primarily synonymous with workwear, but with the influence of outdoor cultures like West Coast surfing and hippie culture, various designs emerged.
As a result, the increased variety of patterns helped them become established as casual fashion.

The illustration features mythical creatures and angels, designed with the high degree of freedom characteristic of Bru Na Boinne.
It's original and fantastical.
As the product name "Grateful" suggests, it's a design that seems to express a feeling of allegorical fantasy, a gratitude towards imaginary companions (mythical creatures) who instilled pure thoughts, those one admired and believed in without a doubt during childhood or adolescence, as a token of thanks to these phantom beings.

Design

The design is reminiscent of a printed shirt from the 70s. The collar is small, and the collar stand is low, so it will look neat around your neck when worn.

About the Fabric

Flannel fabric.
This is a very elegant fabric that, at first glance, might be mistaken for velveteen.
It is printed with mythical beasts and angels.
Both the navy and black colors pair very well with beige.
Regarding the design, I mentioned above that it is printed, but we are currently checking and there is also a possibility that it is discharge printed.
While one might wonder what difference it makes whether it's printed or discharge printed, it's something we're curious about, so please bear with us for a moment.
